One of my favorite Proverbs is
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart:
What does it mean to trust?”
There seem to be many things in life that pull me away from this total trusting with all my heart.
I think of times I have fretted over prayers unanswered or worried of events that may happen in some future time. In our culture we are pulled/enticed to find security in so many things outside God. We can become distracted by thinking that we can trust or feel secure in these, whether they are our relationships, our work, or the amount of money we have.
1. Be patient.
Recognize that God knows what He’s doing. God knows what is best for you. He can see the end result. You can’t. All those problems, heartaches, difficulties and delays—all the things that make you ask “why”—one day will all be clear in the light of God’s love.
But for now, we’re learning to trust God.
What is most painful is not what happens but our attitude to what happens.
It is this dance with God that we see divine love put into practice. Paul’s words about love:
Love is kind, love is not jealous, does not put on airs, is not snobbish, never rude. Love has no limit.
2. Breathe in the present moment : it is our only moment
This dance with God is sometimes so congruent that it goes without notice. But in this instant, notice the beauty of this moment: notice your breath , our existence on this earth that God has created,,,,notice our room, our space,,,,the glory of all that is God is always present,,,,in every moment and with every breath…
Thoughts for the Day
You don’t have to have faith, just be Be willing to have faith:
Open to the possibility that:
Faith’s look saves you from despair.
Faith’s look saves you from worry and care.
Faith’s look brings a peace beyond all understanding.
Faith’s look brings you all the strength you need.
Faith’s look gives you a new and vital power and a wonderful peace and serenity.
There is a ‘gentle stillness’ after all the thunder and wind have
passed that is the ultimate Word from God.
Peace and faith today,
Georgiana
