Meditate-Relax-Breathe in the Best Day of Your Life

Some random thoughts from the last week:

“No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin, or his background, or his religion. People must learn to hate, and if they can learn to hate, they can be taught to love, for love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.” Nelson Mandela ( 1918-2913) rest in eternal peace, great man.

It’s very close to Christmas: how will I spend the time from now to the family table of love of the birth and celebration of our Lord? I have options of running from place to place “getting things done” or what I have the intention to do is to create some space in all that activity to give thanks along the way for the bounty that is mine in every moment, every day. Simple things like talking to the grocery clerk, patience with the woman blocking the shopping aisle with her basket, a kind hello to the man picking out a pie, a soft smile to the little girl asking for a flower for her mommie, and perhaps once or twice or more, taking a breath to breathe all that God has given in this day, these days.

Be kind to ourselves this day…this means no critical words about any part of us…. cellulite, laugh lines, the deadline that you missed…love it all, which doesn’t mean not to do something about the things we would like different. Feelings and thoughts are important…they mean action..then let it go.  Kind and gentle Today: We value compassion for others, supporting our friends and being kind to others; let’s have that same kindness and caring for ourselves today. Kind to You!

Trouble meditating? try simple “stay in this moment.” Stop. Right in this moment, pick out three things around you that put you in this very present moment. No judgement or story attach to the things, just observation. Breathe as you gaze at each of the things.Breathe and as you breathe in and out…, let your thoughts center on now. Have the intention to be in the moment several times during the day, noticing, breathing, being.

Breathe it all in…these are the best days of my life. These are the best days of your life.
